Didn't you see my Alpha Video rant in the other discussion?

Once again...just because Alpha hasn't released it doesn't mean it's not PD. There are thousands of PD films out there that Alpha hasn't released and new ones are being discovered all the time. We have proof of that in this forum.

Duh. Everybody knows that. But since this film is above the usual Alpha Video quality-level, and since even a noob like you could notice the absence of a copyright notice, one has to wonder why Alpha Video has sought out so many inferior films before adding this one to their line.

No, of course I don't read the mindless rants of those like you who are clueless about copyright, those who believe that being unpopular and forgotten makes a film public domain.

Moongleam, I think you're being unreasonably harsh. Copyright law is pretty esoteric for the laity. I'm not ignorant as a rule (well, I'm a newspaperman so maybe I am) , but most of what I know of copyrights I've learned on this forum.
